Hi, I am pretty new to the gemstones game. I was wondering if gems are more valuable or less valuable based on the location they were found or mined in? Is that a thing? I recently found an attraction to many gems when I was in certain countries in the middle East. I was worried about the ramifications of purchasing these gems from countries amidst a war or whether or not it would lower their value. Any ideas?
