What are the categories and methods for valuation of Cabochons ?
Tom, I’m not an expert on this but have been accumulating many slabs via my mineral collection purchases. The problem I ran into regarding valuation is the lack of a catalog of all the different types of cabbing material. Some locations alone greatly affect the value of the cab where others it is strictly based on the material. This ignores aesthitic premium on the piece.
