Hello! Bought this gem as a sapphire. The person bought it 40 years ago in the Kashmir region and it was on a ring until now.
It has 5ct and the light blue color with a pretty bad cut. These are the photos
Forgot the question, do you think this is a syntetic or a natural gemstone?
Anything is possible. It could be a Kashmir sapphire.
Send it in for testing. AGL perhaps?
Synthetics tend to have better color … and cutting.

It has a picture window in it to probably save weight. If it was recut with the proper angles I wonder if the blue color would flood the gem and it would obviously remove the window. If not it was oriented incorrectly in the beginning and not much can be done
