Hello .i am highgrade and new to the site …I work as an exploration geologist . I have come across many quartz crystal . Recently I pulled this out of some mud in a very ancient river channel .it is not like a typical or even rare type of crystal . Covered in tiny triangles / diamond .i would do a scratch test but don’t have any corundum …it dose emit faint yellow under a short wave Uv light …is it a diamond ?
Can you get some wet & dry paper from a local hardware store, 180 or 240 grit, it’s corundum paper. Also if you have a set of scales, run an SG test.
Crystal structure is not what I would expect from Diamond.
