This looks to me like it’s either Agate or Jasper.

It looks to me like a petrified Dinosour egg with the red and clear being agate with yellow Jasper.
We haven’t been given enough information to offer a solid answer.
What makes you think this is a “gem”?

That’s an interesting theory, but there isn’t anything about this specimen that resembles a dinosaur egg. 
I think it’s yellow diamond
