Where can I buy methylene iodide and other liquids for gem testing? No one seems to have them, and the places that do will not sell to a residential address. Also, when using clove oil, anise oil, or cinnamon oil, is it the oil used in baking, or essential oil?

If you are going to pursue using the herbal oils, use the essential oils, purchase from a reputable vendor, and be sure you purchase food safe if possible, because they will be the purest. I guess, ideally, pharmaceutically pure is better, but I’m not sure if it’s available OTC.
