Greetings. My name is David and I am retired from the USAF and living in Thailand for 8 years. I am also a retred professional watchmaker. I am handicapped with a genetic limitation, I am Red/Green color deficient. I have loved and been fascinated with Gemstones since my childhood. I wanted to be a Gemologist but my poor color vision discouraged me and kept me from it. I have renewed my interest and want to learn and experience more as a hobby, so giving it a go! While unable to accurately judge the finer points of color, I can still enjoy the beauty of colored stones. I am acquiring equipment for identification and learning. Anyone else Color Deficient and still enjoying Gemology?
