Is this Calcite?

We’re trying to confirm this is calcite. Anyone have any thoughts?

How did you guess it to be Calcite?
I am not sure but generally it looks to me to be feldspar.
My way of checking stones is,first of all I see it’s specific gravity… there only you are guided to go in a direction for further confirmation.

Looks like “milk quartz”.

A small drop of dilute (10% HCl + 90% water) will make a calcite nodule “fizz” (effervesce)… and it is a distinctive property of carbonates. If the nodule is “dolomite” then the drop of acid will only fizz on a powder made by rubbing the nodule on a piece of unglazed porcelain called a “streak plate”.
