I would suggest taking a RI reading. Use a polariscope to see if they are DR or SR and the optic character. If you have the setup for it an SG will help. All of this will give you the information you need to make an identification. I work with rare and unusual gemstones and have learned that you can’t really tell by looking at it, you need the scientific data.

Thought there was an easier way… setups not available!
What were you told they are or what do you think they are? I see a Trigonal/Hexagonal termination on the top of the piece in the lower left corner. My first impression is good old quartz and my second would be Goshenite.
There are so many clear or white gemstones in the world, that to identify any one by a photograph, is virtually impossible!
Granted, it looks like_______, but without the proper testing, it is anybody’s guess.
By termination and cleavage, my guess is quartz… But that’s just a guess.
