I\’m an oldie here from Sapphire Queensland Australia. Sapphire is in the heart of The Gemfields in Queensland about 700km NW of Brisbane. I have been living here permanently with my Bride and 2 trusted canine offsiders. I have my own Sapphire mine (leased from Qld Mines Dept). The mine is 38 feet below ground and quite safe to dig in a responsible manner. I am learning to facet the stones that I happen to find and am looking forward to learning more about gemstones, cutting them, and presenting them to enhance their beauty.
