Diamond Concrete Drilling for Precise Holes

Diamond concrete drilling is widely used in construction for making precise holes in reinforced concrete, brick, and stone. Diamond core drills cut smoothly with less vibration and minimal damage to the surrounding material.

Common applications include plumbing, electrical conduits, and HVAC installations.

Has anyone here used diamond core drilling for reinforced concrete projects? What was your experience?

Not sure this question is relevant to gemology.

There was a time not too long ago, when concrete was being used as a backdrop setting/medium for pendants and articles of intarsia to highlight center solitaire gems.

Some of the artists would use cabosil or natural fibers as a reinforcement in the concrete to help stabilize it. But that didn’t necessarily require the use of specialized concrete coring drills.
