I’ve been doing more detailed shaping and engraving work on hard materials like gemstones, glass, and ceramics lately, and I’m curious what everyone’s experience has been with diamond carving points. Different point shapes and grit sizes seem to behave very differently when it comes to controlling fine detail without chipping.
I came across this range of options here:

Has anyone found certain point geometries or grits that consistently give better control or smoother results for intricate work? What RPM, pressure, or coolant strategies have you found most effective when carving small features?
