Hi there dear reader, unfortunately these look like lower grade Indian gems but they may still have some collective value. There is a lot of the same gem type currently flooding the market. Always be sure to check gems and make sure you’re getting what you paid for! Gems like this are a common occurrence throughout the world but mostly India. Please note that most of these gem’s are not of Gem quality, however they do you have the place in silver jewellery. I would suggest only purchasing gems that you have viewed and or have touched yourself. Becoming a member of IGS is one of the best ways to make sure that you are purchasing what you have bargained for. Please take a look at some of the websites available that are linked to gem traits and look for fault lines and crystal structure’s within the gems. Also looking for gem inclusions us important to get you going in the rightdirection, for insurance Google what are the common inclusions for emerald and ruby’s and you will get to know what to look for in future purchases. I would also suggest buying from reputable suppliers who know how to judge and pick a gem as it can lead you too being penniless lol . But they are very beautiful specimens that you have and they are a good place to start a novice collection
Best regards Jarryed.
From what I can tell, the quality is very poor for these stones. They look very included almost opaque or semi translucent, not gem quality. Ideally you would want ruby to be transparent, inclusions are almost always there, but you still have light return and brilliance. Also the pictures are not very good.
