Best Diamond Cutting Wheel for Germanium?

Has anyone here worked with diamond cutting wheels for germanium? I’m looking for clean, precise cuts on brittle IR-grade germanium and trying to minimize chipping.

I recently came across some great insights on UKAM’s photonics page about selecting the right bond and grit size for cutting optical materials - seems like a solid resource.

What’s worked best for you - sintered, resin, or electroplated blades? Any tips on spindle speed or coolant setup for germanium?

Germanium is not one of my first choices for a gemstone. Haven’t had the need to cut any germanium crystals, or had the luck in finding any of this elusive element on any field trip, either.
