I am a novice jeweler I work in silver, gold and sometimes platinum. I am looking for a good supplier of untreated/heated sapphires. Also I am looking for a vs/SI ruby heated from .9ct-1.2ct. I am looking to save money so I would prefer a ruby/pink Sapphire one that is on the edge of what can be called a ruby, electric pink. I am also interested in finding a source of eye clean cabochons, I realize these unless antique are nearly unobtainable in sizes greater than .75ct however, I would love to buy some even .2ct and up, untreated or heated ok everything else not interested. Also I would like to buy a couple 1-3ct star Sapphires translucent. Lastly does anyone know of any trustworthy suppliers on line who offers reasonable prices on stones. I don’t mean a 1ct mozambique ruby heated pigeon blood vs+ for $200. I’m not stupid I have a relative grasp of western commercial prices, however I’m hoping to be pointed in the direction of a supplier who can offer something in the middle, somewhere between western prices and eastern prices.
