A quick AI Google search using “rhodonite 25ct gemstone price” provided the following:
Prices vary based on whether it is an opaque cabochon for wire-wrapping or a rare, transparent faceted stone.
The primary factors affecting the price include:
Cut and Shape: Most 25-carat rhodonites are cut as smooth, flat-backed cabochons, which are priced very affordably, usually around $0.20 to $1.00/ctColor Pattern: Stones with a rich, rosy-red or pink base and aesthetically pleasing black manganese veins or “picture stone” patterns fetch slightly higher prices, ranging from $1 to $5 per carat.
Rarity: Exceptionally rare, gem-grade transparent rhodonites that can be faceted are highly prized by collectors and can cost $100 to $400+ per carat for sizes under 10 carats.
Finding a flawless 25-carat faceted stone is extremely unusual.
Your stone looks to be fairly transparent! If that is a Rhodonite @ 25+ carats, you have a fairly rare stone. ![]()

Thank you for the informations. My estimated value was between 10000 &12000$.On the internet I only found one with that colour & transparency, on the LinkedIn page of Paul Wild some years ago. They showed it as they were sending it to the Tucson Gem Fair. They did not mention any value
I use a pretty structured prompt for AI searches to assess gemstone values that requires it to search at least three sites and provide PPC values for wholesale, resale and Retail (High End Commercial). I use it to bid on auctions as well as when I am evaluating gems I own for resale of loose stones or jewelry I have made with gems. So far its been pretty accurate.
Here’s the search results. It looks like you have some pretty valuable and rare gemstones.
| Valuation Tier | PPC Range | Total Value Range |
|---|---|---|
| Wholesale | $180 – $250 / ct | $4,584.60 – $6,367.50 |
| Resale (P2P) | $300 – $470 / ct | $7,641.00 – $11,970.90 |
| Retail | $550 – $1,000+ / ct | $14,008.50 – $25,470.00+ |
Depends.
Heat treated $100 carat typical in my area wholesale. 25.47 carat exoect around $2,547 for base offer if buyer interested.
Most will not be interested.
Natural from Africa most likely fetches higher than expected if you have location you have sales relationship with prior.
Avoid selling to new buyers as most will offer little to nothing.
Sell to your preferred buyer.
Beverly Hills same type fetches much higher sales price.
I find few buyers if any at all.
Most people in this economy reduces spending.
Few buying.
I suggest keeping until economy gets better.
In about 10 years then sell if need cash.
Otherwise hold onto gems.
My current volume collected is in 4 containers and I will keep them all. Sometimes best to keep than sell if no buyers buying.
My plan keep buying. Buy using my retirement discretionary funds. I do not need to sell. I prefer African genstones more than Asia lab created options. Most African gems are natural.
35% of Asian gems is lab created.
35% natural if lab costs more to produce highly unlikely to lab grow option.
30% fakes always show up.
By color shown appears to be African color Mozambique in my opinion. Certain colors are typical of certain regions.
Certain flaw characteristics appear within regions and create great options. I prefer flaws narrows regional placement. Having lab created in stock gives ability to see types created so not to acquire more of that type.
Try not to pay more than few dollars for lab creations. My lab samples I paid $2 each gem.
Why so many gemologists give me nasty comments at me often.
I use them to teach public about lab creations.
If public willing to pay $100 a carat then up to them.
I prefer to pay much less. So I can charge much less to my friends. Break even is better than bankrupt. Economy is not getting better for most. My case is unique. I am retired but never accessed my retirements. Compound interest grows daily while you wait until need actually arises to access. Avoid access retirements as long as possible. No credit card use in this economy. Mortgage rates going up to 6.5 upward to 7% by 2027 — expect higher rates until 2029 or after. Save where you can.
Thank you very much for these valuable informations !
I have good prizes too. I am selling under your values
(with a very reasonable profit margin)
& Welcome to IGS!
